Terms and Conditions

1) Should party guest’s behaviour on the night pose a safety risk or threat to the equipment or Sparkling Star Entertainment representative, the Sparkling Star Entertainment representative reserves the right to cancel the rest of the contract with no refund being issued.

 

2) It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that guests are medically comfortable with disco effects, strobe lights, class 2 low power lasers and smoke from smoke effects, and to make the company or Sparkling Star Entertainment representative aware in writing of any problems or medical conditions before the start of the evening.

 

3) When booking, personal details from you will be required. We treat these details as private and confidential and will not pass these to third parties.

 

4) We accept no liability should personal details be obtained by third parties resulting from theft by outside parties.

 

5) We accept no responsibility for injury to yourself or guests due to non representatives of Sparkling Star Entertainment coming behind the equipment, misuse, pulling or touching the equipment. Equipment is mobile and therefore should not be leaned upon or tampered with.

 

6) The use of a projector is bright and won’t be aimed at guests. We accept no liability of damage to eyes should a party member stare into the focused light.

 

7) We accept no liability or financial implications for venue fire alarms being set off due to smoke from the smoke machines. It is your responsibility to check with the venue that they have a compatible system if you require that effect.

 

8)  Access to the venue before the event starts will be required, normal setup can take up to 3 hours depending on the package. We take no responsibility for not having enough access to the venue before the start to your night.

 

9) If a venue requires P.A.T. Testing and insurance certificates, this needs to be arranged before the event to ensure that your special occasion runs smoothly. It is essential for you to inform us of certificates required before the event as some venues won’t accept our service if this criteria is not met. These can be downloaded from this website.

 

10) Our charges are for the hire of the equipment and staff, all equipment remains the property of Sparkling Star Entertainment.

 

11)  A deposit of £50 of the total charge will be required to secure your booking. Without a deposit paid your date/ time can still be booked by others and we may not be able to supply a DJ for your event.

 

12) All outstanding monies must be paid in full within 24 hours BEFORE the start of your event. If booking is less than 24 hours then the payment will have to be taken at the time of booking.

 

13) Extra time on the event will be subject to agreement and availability from the venue and the Sparkling Star Entertainment representative, and must be paid in full at the rate of £10 per 30 minutes, before extra time will be added.

 

14) Upon booking, it is deemed that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
