One of the best, most equipped open mic night available in Leicestershire.

What do you need to bring:

  • Your instrument(s)

  • Sheet music if required,

  • Backing tracks for your instrument/vocal,    (if required)

  • If required, a effect pedals so you can get the exact effects you want,

  • Instrument stand(s) if required, for example a keyboard stand,

  • Stage Props if required.

What equipment can be used at an open mic night

This describes equipment that can be used depending upon the venue size.

  • A fantastic sound quality with Front Of House (FOH) speakers consisting of FBT subwoofers and QSC speakers in a three way configuration,

  • 2 QSC Back Of house (BOH) stage monitors. Each of these can be either mirroring FOH or a mix of your choice as an artist,

  • 2 sm58 vocal microphones on stands,

  • 2 wireless SM58 vocal Microphones available,

  • 3 sennheiser vocal microphones

  • 1 SM57 Vocal instrument microphone on a stand,

  • 6 DI Boxes for Guitars and Keyboards,

  • 2 music stands,

  • 3.5mm jack on stage for you to control your own backing if required. (some coaching may be required depending upon experience)

What effects and sound processing are available:

These can be selected and used as required:

  • Compression

  • Gating on mics,

  • 4 frequency sweepable parametric eq per input channel,

  • 6 frequency sweepable parametric eq for FOH channels and 15 frequency graphic eq per channel,

  • 6 frequency sweepable parametric eq for each stage monitor or 15 frequency graphic eq,

  • Up to 4 FX available per channel, I use reverb, duel combinator and a de-esser as standard. (individual selection of  different effects may not be possible due to the time required to  set up)

What makes my open mic nights different!!!!

If Pre-arranged with the artists, the following options are possible:

  • 3 QSc Back Of house (BOH) stage monitors. Each of these can be either mirroring FOH or a mix of your choice as an artist,

  • 2 tablets can be added for 2 artists to control their monitor mix using in build software,

  • 6 DI channels for guitars and keyboards, or 4 DI channels and 2 channel stereo 3.5mm jack to control your own backing,

  • Up to 7 Drum microphones available: 4 tom/snare mics, 1 bass drum mic and 2 condenser overheads. (All on separate mic stands)

  • Dry multi track recording (you will need a USB stick to take the tracks away. I can make a stereo mix of your work but it will be dry. (Not the time to edit on the night)

Available to host open mic nights at other venues.
